A Muaythai Camp in Phuket Thailand

What is a Muaythai Camp?

A Muaythai Camp is a training facility in Thailand where Muay Thai fighters train Thailands popular martial art Muay Thai, also called Muay thai boxing, Thaiboxing or Muay thai kickboxing twice a day. Usually the fighters and trainers train, eat and sleep in the camps own accomodation in the gym. The training area of a Muay Thai Camp in Thailand is usually covered by a roof, but otherwise open for good ventilation in the hot and humid climate of Thailand. Students and fighters from other countries often come to train in the Muaythai camps, especially in Thailands touristy areas like Phuket, Bangkok, Pattaya and Chiang Mai. You can just turn up on any day without notice and train in a camp for a fee, either a daily fee, weekly or monthly or a special arrangement. Some Thai fighters train in the gym for free, if they fight for the gym and hand over their fight money to the gym owner. These Thai fighers often start at a young age to train Muay Thai and to live in the camp.
